Cheryl Beeson

Cheryl Beeson, certified Transformational Coach, lives in North Carolina, and devotes time to building strong communities by supporting school and district leaders to provide caring places for students to grow and learn.  English teacher, school and district administrator, Paideia faculty member, and adventurer -- Cheryl became devoted to Carol's visionary leadership in 2017 and has been supporting the structure of KBPL in ways that have expanded her learning!

Gloria Omuya

 Gloria is passionate about social justice and is keen to work with individuals and organizations to advance this cause. Over the last few years, Gloria has focused her efforts towards education. She believes that all children deserve an opportunity to access education, so they can build a foundation for a prosperous life. Serving on the Kenya Big Picture Learning Board is a unique opportunity for her to support underserved students, so they can experience education in a meaningful way. Gloria strongly believes that education is one of the pathways to solve inequality in our society. The youth in Kenya have tremendous talent and the Big Picture learning model will allow students to explore their potential and shape their future. She has worked in the non-profit sector in various positions supporting communications, operations and leading high impact programs. Gloria holds a Certificate in Humanitarian Core Skills from RedR UK, a Diploma in Public Relations and a B.A. in Public Relations & Media Studies from the University of Nairobi. 

Elena Aguilar

 

Elena Aguilar is the Founder and President of Bright Morning Consulting, Inc. She has trained thousands of educators across the United States and abroad in transformational coaching and team development. She has published four highly acclaimed books: The Art of Coaching, (2013) The Art of Coaching Teams, (2016) Onward: Cultivating Emotional Resilience in Educators (2018) and the Onward Workbook (2018).

Elena’s expertise derives from twenty years as a classroom teacher, instructional coach and leadership coach working in diverse school environments. In her role as a consultant, she has partnered with leaders in public and private organizations across the United States and abroad.


Steve Kariithi

Has 15 years of experience working with organizations championing child and youth development. He holds a degree in community Development from Daystar University. Currently, he is leading an initiative to transform communities by resourcing the next generation leaders.
